Also on the Elba-Island there is a bathing establishment that promises thermal applications. It is almost directly on the bay of Portoferraio. However, the water does not seem to be thermal water. Rather, the operator of the facility offers an extensive range of therapy and wellness options. It extends to a sauna, hammam (Turkish bath), massage pool, inhalations, physiotherapy and all kinds of relaxation baths. There is no large swimming pool - the thermal baths, or rather the spa, are designed for individual treatments. Nevertheless, everything is new and modern bath technology is used.

In individual cases it is possible that the health insurances take over applications in the Terme di San Giovanni. The spa specializes in particular in thalassotherapy. Thalasso is the treatment of diseases with cold or heated sea water, sea salt, sea air, sun, algae, silt and sand.
