The Etruscans used the thermal springs of Chianciano Terme before the Romans. Several springs supply the area with different types of medicinal waters. The water temperatures start at around 16 degrees Celsius (mineral water for drinking cures) and end at 24, 33 and 38 degrees Celsius. Depending on the water, it contains sulfur and bicarbonate compounds, as well as other minerals. Bicarbonate in particular fulfills an important function in preventing excessive acid build-up in the blood.

On the edge of the medieval-looking village of Chinciano is a thermal bath that offers various water basins and additional wellness offers. In addition, you will find various types of therapeutic offers.

Where is the Chianciano Terme?

Location - Chianciano Terme is located in central Italy, in the southernmost tip of Tuscany, on the border with Umbria and Lazio. 15 km away is the Chiusi/Chianciano Terme train station on the Rome-Florence-Milan railway line, where high-speed trains also stop. Very close by, about 6 km away, is the motorway exit and toll station. Rome and Florence with their international airports can be reached in just over an hour by car.
