This is an amalgamation of several different baths. The temperatures of the 25 different springs in Bagni di Lucca are between 38 degrees Celsius (San Giovanni spring) and 54,1 degrees Celsius (Doccione el Bagno Caldo spring). The springs have been used primarily for baths, showers and drinking cures since ancient times. Some parts of the building even date from Roman times.
The bathrooms have been extensively renovated for several years. Nevertheless, a lot of the flair of the past centuries can still be felt. The bathrooms in the vaulted cellars are particularly authentic.
The water contains calcium and sulfur and comes from a depth of up to 3000 meters, where it heats up to 75 degrees.
