A small curiosity is the fact that there are two large bathing establishments in the village of Rapolano.
The thermal baths in Rapolano are located in the middle of a magical rural setting. There are both in the northern part of the district (Terme Antica Querciolaia) and just outside, in the southwest (Terme di San Giovanni), two larger bathing establishments.
The Terme Antica di Querciolaia in the north has at least five outdoor pools surrounded by spacious sunbathing areas. The mineral-rich water has a temperature of approximately 40 degrees Celsius. The thermal baths offer cures and treatments for all types of skin, lung and heart diseases, as well as diseases of the musculoskeletal system. There are also the obligatory massages and cosmetic offers. The thermal bath scores less with the indoor area, but all the more with the beautiful outdoor area.
Tip: Antica di Querciolaia is especially suitable for owners of mobile homes, there is a parking space for corresponding vehicles right next door, which, however, does not belong to the thermal baths.
The Therme San Giovanni is a modern building that also includes a hotel. In an upscale ambience, emphasis is placed on wellness and therapeutic treatments (massage, mud, inhalation, skin care, etc.). The thermal water has a temperature of approx. 39 degrees Celsius. In addition to two outdoor pools, there is also an indoor pool. The hotel does not have to be booked for entry, and there are regular promotions, such as the Saturday evening offer from 14 euros.
